New Vessel Tracking System and GPS Repeater Released.

XGate Pro's vessel tracking module has been released.  XGate now reads the ships GPS and repeats it on to other navigation software so that the ships GPS can be shared by multiple simultaneous applications.  XGate then uses the GPS feed to send vessel reports which are stored on the server.  Vessels can view tracks of other vessels in their fleet on the ship board PCs using a number of different viewers.  Shore side personnel can follow the progress of their fleet via the web.  A full description of this new product can be found on our vessel tracking page.


GMN opens up its TN HF Broadcast Station.

Global Marine Networks (GMN) is now offering 5 day wind forecasts of the world as a public service via it's GRIB Mail Robot.  The forecasts are generated daily for every region of the world. GRIB forecasts are based on the National Weather Service Wavewatch III model and yield highly accurate forecasts every 6 hours for up to 5 days into the future. Global Marine Network (GMN) partners with OCENS, Inc. of Seattle WA (www.ocens.net) to develop a fast wireless distribution channel for weather. Weather data acquired from OCENS will be repackaged and streamed to users using custom software developed by GMN for OCENS providing cost effective, fast, and reliable weather data transfer to it's user base.  The new product called "WeatherNet" will use wireless broadband, satellite phone, and Pactor HF communication modes to deliver weather products.
